   The Carol Christian Poell AM/2759SP-IN CORSS-PTC is a reissue of the iconic 2006 buckle boots, reimagined with a monstrous oversized square-toe drip sole. Cast in object-dyed horse leather (Color 10), the boots feature oxidized prosthetic-like heel extensions and unworn rubber drips that curl like claws. Four rusted brass buckle clasps fasten the front, adding a brutalist, medical-meets-industrial aura. The silhouette exaggerates anatomical distortion while the drip sole—uneven, organic, and aggressive—visually anchors the piece in decay. More sculpture than footwear, this iteration pushes Poell’s vision of footwear as grotesque prosthesis to extreme, unsettling heights.
